It has high electrical and thermal conductivity and is chemically stable. But, it also has excellent antibacterial properties. Antibacterial properties against 4 bacterial species (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) are better than known antibacterial metals such as silver and copper.
